Week 99 - June 5 - June 11

Dear Toddlers,

You are really two (well nearly so).  The tears flow, pushing abounds, hitting, and whining, whining!  You went on the Narrow Gauge Railroad at the East End for the first time with Trish. As you can see from the photos, you had a wonderful place to sit and view the ocean.  Looks like you had a great time.

Mommy headed to Quincy/Boston for a institute on cancer and was gone for most of the week during the week.  Mommy visited Karen at Mass General twice.  She is recovering from a seizure in the consulting doctor's office Monday so two shunts were immediately put into her brain and a small sliver of the tumor was taken for biopsy.  We learned at the end of the week that the sliver was not enough as the pathology reports have come back inconclusive so Karen will have to endure another surgery to determine her treatment.

Bridget covered the evenings that Mommy was gone until Dada came home and gave you baths.  We love that you really enjoy your baths!

The rain was with us nearly all of the week, so outdoor activities were sporadic!

Lisa, the ST, said that you, Grace, and she had a good session with you waving at her for the first time, saying car, no, mine, truck and stop.  Awesome!   When Bridget was with you in the eves, she worked with you both to say her name.  William, you said the closest to Bridget and Grace, you worked on the sounds.  William, you said Elmo and Emla, plus breakfast and truck.  Grace, you are the more girl and also said watermelon!

Trish is an excellent cook, having made us lasagna, meatloaf and red bliss potatoes.

This weekend, you both slept very well.  In fact, we really had two larger meals with the naps in between.  And we finished the week going back to the Narrow Gauge Railroad for a train ride. The weather, which was supposed to rain all day Sunday, was overcast and then sunny.  We went to mass the first time in quite a while and you both did pretty well.  Very active but mostly quiet!

We called August to wish him a happy 7th birthday Saturday!  Yea August!

Off to bed, we love you,

Mommy and Dada
