Babies - Week 41 - Apr. 25 - May 1

Dear Toddlers --

You both have a tooth beginning to show just slightly on the bottom in front.  The drooling continues and thank goodness, Mommy bought more bibs.  And Grace, your spitting up is quite impressive for such a little girl.

The neighbors are getting to know you on all the walks you are taking with Elizabeth and Natasha.  Harry is also enjoying the other dogs, kids, and grass to sniff.

We closed on Summer Place and now officially own just one house -- whew.  Mommy and Dada are thrilled and the new Summer Place owner seems like a nice man and will have ball in the gardens.  Now we need to figure out the garden situation here.  There are quite a few gardens at the new house and it looks like they are full of bulbs, perennials, and trees.  Mommy thinks by the fall she can have a cutting garden for next spring.

You survived you last RSV shot -- just kidding!  It was not so bad.  Grace, you saw your brother get his shots and cried for him so you were ready when it came for your turn.  We are very pleased to have made it through the winter and with just two colds for you, Grace and one for William.  How fortunate are we!

William, we saw Dr Rossi this week to discuss possibly having a port installed in your chest to make infusions easier.  Mommy and Dada are concerned about the procedure itself as the amount and number of days you will need factor is intense (to keep your Factor VIII level in the safe range).  We all want to wait until after you are one year old as studies show that you will are less likely to develop an inhibitor then.  The good news is that the port will stay in until you are between four and six years old, which will make finding a vein a non-issue.

To finish the week, we walked the March of Dimes WalkAmerica around the Baxter Blvd/Back Cove, through Payson Park near the old house to and from Andover College.  Mommy saw a few people from work, we ran into Teri, one of your nurses in the CCN, and a couple of docs and NPs from the NICU.  There were hundreds of people walking along and in the rain too.  You raised more than $1000 for March of Dimes to end prematurity!  Awesome!

We are off to unpacking boxes (still), painting, etc. We love you,

Dada and Mommy
