Babies - Week 27 - Jan. 17 - Jan. 23

Dear Prince William and Princess Grace,

Another week has past -- you are getting bigger.  In fact, Susan, the OT, thought when Dada was bringing you, Grace downstairs for your appointment, you were William.  You are certainly getting bigger and filling out.  And William, you are our big boy.  I bet you weight well over 17lbs and we will know next week, when we visit the pediatrician for your six month visit.

This week has been more of a mixed bag on sleeping overnights.  Grace, sometimes you are up two times to eat (if not three!) and William, you are back to being up twice (including the early morning feeding).  Mommy and Dada think you are experiencing the joys of teething.  One of these days, a tooth will arrive.  You have definitely found your fingers, hands, and fists to your mouths!

This week, more snow!  We cannot wait to make snowangels with you -- probably next year!  Harry loves the snow!

We added carrots and peas to your diet this week!  You both love them!  Perhaps we will add a bit of fruit, probably a bit of bananas to the mix.  We understand that you should have veggies first so you develop a taste for them before the sweet-tasting fruit.  It is great to get advice from so many people who are certainly more knowledgeable than us.

Mommy and Dada secured a storage unit that does not freeze during these winter months to create more spaciousness in the house for when it is on the market.  Also we are finishing up small projects -- regrouting part of the new half bathroom floor, painting a small section in our bath, etc.  We need to repaint the ceiling in the living/family rooms and kitchen now that we have located and repaired the leak and cannot find a painter who can work on short notice.  The house designer is known for his complicated and fine looking roof lines -- they also occasionally come with a leak once in a while!  With the repairs complete, we can paint and then boom, the house can go on the multiple listing.

We were disappointed to learn that the owners of the house in the Audubon area of Falmouth countered our offer and requested that we purchase their home regardless of us selling our home.  We cannot do so ... so we began looking at other homes and found a delightful home in Cape on a very desirable street (Shore Road).  In fact, Mommy and Dada still have their condo in Cape and this house is right down the street.  The home is 100 years old -- wow!  Very New England like but with an updated kitchen and wonderful features.  So far, we have learned that homes are available for us and we seem to have a preference for older homes this go around.  Mommy told Dada that she could live in either house  -- the one in Falmouth or Cape.  Hopefully when we are ready, one of those will still be available.

Off to work with you on the floor and tummy time.

We love you,

Mommy and Dada
